These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Sky Spray mobile application and skyspray.in, operated by Truelet Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Sky Spray Is
Sky Spray is a marketplace. We connect customers who want a field sprayed with independent drone operators who provide that service. We are an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
We do not operate drones, employ operators, or perform spraying ourselves. Each operator on the platform is an independent contractor running their own business. The contract for the spraying work is between the customer and the operator. We facilitate discovery, booking, payment, and the handling of complaints.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law.
- Customers must have the right to authorise spraying on the field they book for — as owner, tenant, or with the landholder's permission.
- Operators must hold a valid DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate and fly a drone registered as required.
3. Accounts
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time password. You are responsible for anything done through your account and for keeping access to your phone number secure. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else is using your account. One person may hold one account; accounts may not be transferred or shared.
4. Bookings
- A booking request describes the field, acreage, crop, service, preferred date, how you will pay, and the price per acre you offer. It is an offer, not a confirmed job. The app will not accept an offer below the lowest rate charged by operators near your field.
- The request is broadcast to suitable operators nearby for 5 minutes. The first operator to accept it takes the job, and the booking is confirmed at that moment. A request nobody accepts expires automatically; you may post it again, at the same or a higher price.
- Once confirmed, both parties are expected to honour the scheduled date, subject to weather and the cancellation rules in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Acreage and field details must be accurate. If the field turns out materially larger than booked, the operator may decline before starting.
- The start code. Each booking carries a 4-digit start code that only the customer can see. The job begins when the customer gives it to the operator at the field. Giving the code confirms that the operator is present and, for a cash booking, that the customer has paid. Do not share it before then.
- Completion. The operator marks the job complete by uploading photographs taken at the field, whose location is checked against the booked field. The customer can view them in the app and rate the job.
5. Pricing, Payment, and Payouts
- The customer sets the price per acre (or per hour for aerial work). The amount for a booking is that rate multiplied by the acreage or hours entered, and is shown in full before the request is posted. Applicable taxes are included as displayed.
- Cash. By default the customer pays the operator in cash at the field, before sharing the start code. The money passes directly between customer and operator; we record the booking and the start, but we never hold the cash.
- Online. Alternatively the customer pays in the app, by UPI, card or netbanking, after an operator accepts. Online payments are processed by our payment gateway; we do not store payment credentials. We hold an online payment until the job is completed and then pay it to the operator. An online booking that is not paid by the end of its booking day expires.
- A customer may switch a confirmed booking between cash and online before the job starts, where cash is available for that booking.
- We take no commission on jobs. The operator receives the full booking amount. On an online job a payment-processing fee for online payments, currently 3% capped at ₹50 per job, is deducted from the operator's payout. Cash jobs carry no fee.
- Online payouts are sent weekly, in one UPI transfer per operator covering every online job completed since their last payout, to the UPI ID on their profile. A payout is complete when the bank confirms it. We may hold a payout for 24 hours after a UPI ID is changed, and while a suspected breach of these terms is investigated.
- Operators are responsible for their own taxes, including income tax and GST where applicable.
Pay only in the app or in cash at the field when you share the start code. Advance transfers, or any payment arranged outside those two routes, fall outside our records, and we cannot help with refunds, disputes, or proof of payment for them.
5A. Operator Subscriptions
- There is no fee to join and no commission. An operator works free until their earnings and booked work over a rolling 30-day window reach ₹10,000.
- From then on an active subscription is required to accept jobs. Subscriptions are bought in the app for a day, a week, a month or a year, at the price shown there for the operator's area. The price paid is fixed for the period bought; we may change catalogue prices for future purchases.
- A Premium tier gives a head start of 2 minutes on requests of 25 acres or more. It does not exclude other operators from those jobs.
- When a subscription (other than a day pass) ends, the operator may keep accepting jobs for a further 3 days before renewal is required.
- A GST tax invoice is issued by Truelet Technologies Private Limited for every subscription. Refunds of subscriptions are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate field location, acreage, crop, and access details.
- Have the legal right to authorise spraying on that land.
- Clear the field of people, children, and livestock before the scheduled time, and warn neighbours.
- Disclose hazards — power lines, poles, towers, structures, water bodies.
- Where you supply the chemical, supply it in its original labelled container and ensure it is approved for the crop.
- Observe re-entry and pre-harvest intervals after the spray. See our Safety Guidelines.
7. Operator Responsibilities
- Hold and maintain valid DGCA authorisation and drone registration, and provide them for verification.
- Fly in accordance with the Drone Rules, 2021 and any DGCA directions in force, including airspace-zone restrictions.
- Apply only approved chemicals at label dose, using appropriate protective equipment.
- Decline or postpone the flight when conditions make it unsafe.
- Complete the job as booked and upload honest photographic and GPS proof.
- Hold appropriate insurance for the operation of the aircraft, where required.
Verification by us confirms that documents were submitted and appeared valid at the time. It is not a warranty of the operator's ongoing compliance, skill, or the quality of any particular job.
8. Prohibited Use
You may not use Sky Spray to:
- Book or perform spraying on land you have no right to spray
- Apply chemicals banned or unapproved for the crop, or apply them off-label
- Fly in restricted airspace or without valid authorisation
- Misrepresent your identity, certification, equipment, or the field
- Falsify job-completion proof
- Pay or collect payment other than in the app or in cash at the field, or take work found on Sky Spray off the platform to avoid its protections
- Harass, threaten, or abuse another user
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service
We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches these terms, and may withhold a payout pending investigation of a suspected breach.
9. Ratings and Content
You retain ownership of photographs, ratings, and reviews you submit, and grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display them for the operation of the service. Reviews must be honest and based on an actual job. We may remove content that is unlawful, defamatory, or in breach of these terms.
9A. YouTube
We publish videos on our YouTube channel using YouTube API Services. Where our services use YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. How we handle data in connection with YouTube is described in section 3A of our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that an operator will be available for any given field or date, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that any particular agronomic outcome — yield, pest control, crop response — will result from a spray. Crop outcomes depend on chemical choice, timing, weather, soil, and other factors outside our control and outside our expertise.
We are not a party to the service contract between customer and operator and are not liable for the manner in which a spray is performed.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to the total fees we received from you in the twelve months before the claim arose, being subscription fees paid by an operator or the processing fee on the transaction giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including crop loss, loss of yield, or loss of profit.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or regulation, or — for operators — from the operation of your drone and the application of chemicals during a job.
13. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Sky Spray and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms, where required by law, or where continued access poses a safety risk. Obligations that by their nature survive termination — payment, indemnity, limitation of liability — continue to apply.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana. Before commencing proceedings, please raise the matter with our Grievance Officer — most issues are resolved there.
